Cowboy's Rest
Facility Descriptions

The Lodge, a two-story retreat center, is available for both summer and retreat guests.  It contains 5 bedrooms and 4½ baths and is able to house up to 26 people.  The lodge contains a kitchen and dining area and is utilized for meals and meetings during our cold-weather events.

Five comfortable Cabins are also available for housing, each sleeping up to 7 people on bunk beds.  The cabins are equipped with electrical lighting, heat, and ceiling fans and are located just a few short steps from our bathhouses.

Our rustic Covered Wagons and Teepees are always a favorite with kids!  The 4 wagons contain special sets of bunk beds and are able to sleep 8 people each.  Our 3 teepees contain cots and can also sleep 8 people.  (The wagons and teepees are not equipped with electricity… so bring your flashlights!)

Our two Bathhouses each contain five toilets, sinks, and showers.  They are centrally located near the Pavilion and just a short walk from the cabins, wagons, and teepees.  Both bathhouses, as well as the bathrooms in the Lodge, are cleaned twice daily by our cleaning staff.

Our four-acre Reservoir is stocked with trout and is available for fishing, swimming, and canoeing  (Canoes, paddles, and life vests are available at no extra charge).  We’ll even cook up a catch for the kids!

The Pavilion houses our outdoor kitchen as well as a covered, open-air dining and meeting area.  It can easily accommodate up to 120 guests and is equipped with lights and a sound system for meetings, music, and announcements.  This is where we feed our larger summer groups, and it is available for meetings, games, and hanging out all day.

Our grassy Recreation Area is perfect for picnicking, volleyball, badminton, or other organized games.

A concreted Campfire Area is available for evening use.  Bring out the dutch ovens, roast some marshmallows, sing some songs, and enjoy the mountain air!

During the coldest months, the Reservoir is  available for ice fishing, skating, and broomball.  We have many pairs of skates and many hockey sticks available.  Want to skate at night?  We’ll light up the ice!

Our Recreation Area is also available for some fun, snowy games. Warm up later at the Campfire Area

And don't forget our Sledding Hill and groomed Cross-Country Ski Trails for hours of active winter fun (if God brings winter to a retreat, which could always happen)!
