Nestled in the peaceful, scenic Ruby Mountains, Cowboy’s Rest Christian Camp & Retreat Center offers a well-rounded facility designed to serve groups of many sizes with both comfort and adventure. Our thoughtfully laid-out campus provides a balance of lodging, gathering spaces, and outdoor activities, all within easy walking distance as shown on our camp map.

At the heart of camp is our Main Lodge, which includes multiple sleeping rooms, meeting areas, and central gathering space, perfect for meals, worship, and small group sessions. Surrounding the lodge, guests will find a variety of lodging options to fit every need, including cozy cabins, wagons, a teepee, and premium cabins, allowing groups to create a unique and memorable retreat experience.

Our campus features both upper and lower lawn areas ideal for group games, recreation, and outdoor teaching sessions. A centrally located pavilion serves as the main dining space, connected to our commercial kitchen where meals are prepared and shared. Nearby bathhouses provide convenient amenities, while our store, nurse’s station, and office help ensure a comfortable and well-supported stay.

For recreation and team-building, Cowboy’s Rest offers a wide range of activities included with your stay, such as archery, a climbing wall, basketball, gaga ball, mini-golf, hiking trails, and a variety of indoor games. Our waterfront area features exciting options like kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, paddle boats, fishing, and a floating obstacle course, making it a favorite destination for campers.

  • Safety: Lifejackets required for watercraft; swimming and water activities operate only when authorized and staffed.

Fields, Trails & Courts

Restrooms, Showers & Accessibility

Tech & Connectivity

  • A/V: Chapel PA + projector/screen; bring your presentation device (HDMI).
  • Wi-Fi / Cell: Rural location—coverage can be limited. Plan to run events mostly offline and pre-download media.
  • Power: Standard outlets in cabins/common areas; RV/tent lots are dry (no hookups).
