Pure camp joy! Kids Camps are the perfect first adventure—safe, high-energy days filled with games, crafts, waterfront fun, and campfire songs. Caring counselors point kids to Jesus through simple, engaging teaching and cabin devotions, while new friends and big memories make this the highlight of their summer.

Big skies. Big laughs. Big faith. Youth Camps at Cowboy’s Rest pack the week with lake time, team competitions, trail adventures, and unforgettable worship under the stars. Students dive into God’s Word in small groups, build real friendships, and are challenged to follow Jesus with courage long after camp ends.

What to Bring to Summer Camp

A simple packing list to help your camper stay comfortable, prepared, and ready to enjoy a full week at Cowboy’s Rest.

Essentials

  • Bible, notebook, and pen
  • Reusable water bottle (labeled)
  • Prescription medications in original containers*
  • Personal ID / health card (if applicable)
  • Sleeping bag or bedding & pillow
  • Day pack / small backpack

Clothing

  • Modest shirts and shorts for a full week
  • Warm layer (hoodie or jacket) for cool evenings
  • Jeans / long pants for games and campfire
  • Modest sleepwear
  • Modest swimsuit and towel
  • Underwear and socks for each day (plus extras)
  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes / runners
  • Optional: sandals for shower / beach

Toiletries & Personal Items

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss
  • Soap, shampoo, deodorant
  • Hairbrush / comb, hair ties
  • Sunscreen and lip balm with SPF
  • Insect repellent
  • Beach towel & shower towel
  • Plastic bag for dirty clothes
  • Optional: small fan, earplugs, sleep mask

Optional Fun Stuff

  • Flashlight or headlamp (with extra batteries)
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Favorite small card or board game
  • Camera (not a phone)
  • Spending money for canteen / camp store
    (if your camp session offers it)
  • Letter-writing supplies (envelopes, stamps)

Medications & Allergies

  • All medications must be turned in to camp staff at check-in.
  • Send prescriptions in original, labeled containers.
  • Clearly indicate allergies and medical needs on your camper’s medical form.
  • If your camper carries an EpiPen or inhaler, please send two if possible (one for the nurse / first-aid station and one with your camper as allowed by policy).

Please Do Not Bring

  • Cell phones, tablets, gaming devices, or other electronics
  • Alcohol, tobacco, vapes, or illegal drugs
  • Knives, fireworks, weapons, or laser pointers
  • Inappropriate books, magazines, or clothing
  • Expensive jewelry or valuables you would be sad to lose

Cowboy’s Rest follows a no-electronics policy for campers so they can fully engage with God, their friends, and the camp experience.

We trust the Bible as God’s Word.

We confess one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and Jesus crucified and risen for our salvation.

By grace through faith we follow Christ and serve His church until He returns.
